During the World Recycling Day held on the Sunday 17 May, Basura Cero Colombia with the support of Aguas de Bogotá, the District Institute of Development and Sports (IDRD) and a private enterprise headed by Darnel-Ajover achieved a Recycling Marathon that tripled the expected target. In total were collected around 3,950 kg of solid waste, 1,230 Kg of these were electrical and electronic waste and 2,850 kg were recyclable materials (cardboard, plastic, aluminum, glass and paper, among others things). This project was developed from 12 collection points with the support of 120 environmental sponsors and raised awareness of over 6,000 people.
Additionally, four bike rides have been developed where different organizations and the community have accompanied the Bicipachanga (which is a proposal of music on wheels).
